Tag your links with UTM parameters
UTM parameters tell your downstream analytics (and ours) where a click came from. Attr.so has an in-app UTM builder so you do not have to concatenate strings in a spreadsheet.
The five UTM fields
- utm_source - the platform (newsletter, twitter, podcast).
- utm_medium - the type (email, social, cpc, organic).
- utm_campaign - the campaign name (launch-week, q2-promo).
- utm_content - the variant (button-a, header-link).
- utm_term - paid keyword, when relevant.
Use the builder
When you create a link, expand the UTM section. The builder has presets for source / medium combinations and validates the values as you type. Saved presets are reusable across the account.
